Rätzel, S., R. Hand, C.S. Christodoulou & H. Uhlich (2021). Phelipanche chionistrae (Orobanchaceae): a new holoparasitic species from Cyprus. Candollea 76: 77–82. In English, English abstract. The (Orobanchaceae) is described Chionistra, the highest summit of Troodos range in Morphological data strongly suggest affinities to rosmarina complex, predominantly West Mediterranean taxa, and olbiensis (Coss.) Carlón et al. The taxon can be distinguished by combination characters such as general colouration, structure calyx type indumentum. Also, it has different ecology being restricted high-montane serpentinophytic coenosis. Currently, only few populations taxon, which parasite mainly on Cypriot endemic Alyssum troodi Boiss. (and possibly other serpentinophilous species), are known. According IUCN Red List Categories Criteria should assessed “Near Threatened”.Received: May 20, 2020; Accepted: December 4, First published online: February 1, 2021

Phelipanche pouyanii is described here as a new species from South Khorassan Province, East of Iran. Its diagnostic morphological features are the calyx teeth being far longer than the calyx tube and staminal filaments being glabrous. These characters clearly differentiated the new species from its closely related taxa, i.e., P. mutelii, P. angustelaciniata and P. nana. Results obtained from...

متن کاملFloral Volatiles in Parasitic Plants of the Orobanchaceae. Ecological and Taxonomic Implications
The holoparasitic broomrapes, Orobanche spp. and Phelipanche spp. (Orobanchaceae), are root parasites that completely depend on a host plant for survival and reproduction. There is considerable controversy on the taxonomy of this biologically and agronomically important family. Flowers of over 25 parasitic Orobanchaceae and a number of close, parasitic and non-parasitic, relatives emitted a com...

Three species of the genus Xylaria (Xylariaceae) are presented based on collections from Guilan Province, Iran. Both morphological and molecular characteristics were used in order to identify these species. Xylaria longissima sp. nov. is described and illustrated as a new Xylaria species and X. cf. striata and X. xylarioides are reported as new records from Iranian mycobiota. Xylaria longissima...
